Keep the places you love close by with a hand-made, layered paper, bathymetric map.

This intricate paper-cut map is custom-designed around the body of water you choose. These unique maps are thoughtful gifts and make an eye-catching addition to any home. From your favorite fishing spot to a sunken ship to the location of an important event, your choices are unlimited.

Once you choose the location, we’ll start creating your map. We research the requested area and then use high-quality card stock to recreate the map in intricate layers. We can even mark a specific location of a house, camp, etc on the map.

After you place the order, send a message with details about your request. Here’s the info I’ll need to start on your order:

1. The name of the body of water you want featured. A link to the map or coordinates is especially helpful. If there are specific things you want included or excluded, please specify (nearby smaller lakes, a specific coastline, etc).
2. A specific location you would like highlighted on the map. This is optional, but many people include GPS coordinates for their cottage, camp, or home. If you don’t already have the coordinates, but would like them included, I only need an address or screenshot of the location to get them for you.
3. How you want the highlighted location marked. You don’t have to mark it with anything, but many people choose to do this. We have seen all sorts of markers, from a traditional dot, house, or heart, to a fish, a boat, and more.
4. The way you want the name and coordinates displayed on the map. By default, we use the layout below, so let us know if you want something different. You can also specify the name you want (Skead vs Greater Sudbury, etc).

5. The color of frame you prefer. Our frames are handmade and available in the colors pictured in the listing photos. Pick one and include your choice here.

This project is all about you, so if you have any specific requests for customizations (color scheme, etc.), just send me a message, and we can discuss the details. Delivery time is 2-3 weeks to allow for the custom creation of your map.
